He has assisted multiple clients developing infrastructure projects in the country which includes the government of Ethiopia, Sponsors and Lenders, PPPs, record high privatization and M&A transactions are also part of his latest credentials.

He is also well-known for his skills in providing multidimensional legal services to individual and corporate clients; proficiency in achieving excellent results in a transaction, corporate issues; and his elocution during trials. In addition, he has ample experience in managing court cases as well as dealing with contractual disputes, arbitration, unlawful competition, liquidation, and employment matters.

Currently, Mehrteab is the Managing Partner, and he is active primarily in project finance, litigation & dispute resolution corporate matters.

  • Mehrteab advised Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG, a Hamburg-based distributor and retailer in the international travel market. He provided legal advisory in negotiating a strategic partnership agreement with the Ethiopian Tourist Trading Enterprise. In addition, he provided comprehensive assistance, including drafting and reviewing the partnership agreements, as well as advising on the relevant Ethiopian legal framework and completed the deal in March 2025. It is a cross border matter that involves Ethiopia and Germany.
  • Mehrteab advised Wheaton Precious Metals International Ltd. in a millions of dollars streaming transaction with Allied Gold Corporation, which will support the development of Allied Gold's Kurmuk gold mine project in Ethiopia. This transaction involves Wheaton purchasing a percentage of the gold produced from the Kurmuk mine in Ethiopia in exchange for upfront cash payments to Allied Gold. It is a cross border matter that involves Ethiopia, Canada and & Cayman Islands.
  • Mehrteab advised Rubis Energy Ethiopia Limited PLC in relation to its properties in Addis Ababa where their land office is situated. The legal advice was mainly in relation to the risk of potential expropriation of the Company’s landholding, options for transferring landholding in Ethiopia and applicable taxation.
