Mr. Leo (Liang) Zhou is an expert in RMB internationalization and cross-border finance. He is now the head of Banking and Finance group in Dentons China Region.

He has provided legal services for many global top 10 banks, fortune global 500, domestic and overseas listed company, funds and securities companies. His major clients include China Construction Bank (Asia), Bank of China (Hong Kong), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia), JPMorgan, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, etc.  

Mr. Zhou has dug into RMB internationalization and cross-border financial transaction for many years and enjoys an international reputation. He has been invited to publish works “A Preliminary Research on Project of Financing Model” by China Forex in April 2017, together with Yi Huiman, the then Chairman of ICBC, Zhou Mubing, the then Chairman of Agricultural Bank of China, Wang Hongzhang, the then Chairman of CCB, Li Xiaopeng, the then vice Chairman of China Merchants Group, Lu Chun, the then Chairman of China Three Gorges Corporation, Wang Yilin, the then Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation, Yan Zhiyong, the then Chairman of China Power and other central enterprise leaders as well as the famous economist Lin Yifu.

  • Advised JPMorgan in a €50 million financing project secured by the Export Buyer’s Credit Insurance Policy issued by Sinosure. 
  • Advised Bank of China (Hong Kong), China Construction Bank (Asia) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia), China Industrial Bank Hong Kong Branch, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Hong Kong Branch, China Everbright Bank Hong Kong Branch and Bank of East Asia, etc. respectively in their cross-border financing projects in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area.
