Kirana Sastrawijaya - a Senior Partner of UMBRA, with more than 17 years of practical experience in the fields of power, energy, construction and infrastructure. She has represented major international and local clients in various high-profile power (having a combined capacity of more than 15,000 MW) and infrastructure deals (including railway, toll-road, airports, ports, hospitals, water). She has extensive experience in performing a complete cycle of power and infrastructure projects.
Kirana is also well versed in renewables, oil & gas, project financing, public-private partnership scheme, mergers & acquisition in the energy and natural resources sectors, state-owned enterprises, regional-owned enterprises and has built close relationship with government institutions and international and local NGOs for the preparation of relevant regulations related to power, energy and renewables in Indonesia.
In less than 5 years, she has successfully led the group to be one of the largest power, energy and infrastructure practice groups with a total of 27 members (including 3 partners and 1 off-counsel). She also has obtained acknowledgement from international directories, including (i) Recommended as an Energy and Project lawyer in the Asia Pacific Chambers and Global Chambers since 2020; (ii) Named as the Leading Energy and Infrastructure Project Financing Specialist of The Year, Indonesia by 2021 Leading Adviser Awards; (iii) Named as Highly Regarded Lawyer in Project Finance, M&A and Project Development by IFLR1000; (iii) named as the Indonesia’s 100 Top Lawyer by Asia Business Law Journal since 2021.
