Joseph Huse is the Founding Partner of Newton Legal. He works closely with a number of key clients, including the Government of Bahrain. Prior to 2012, he was the MENA Regional Managing Partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus and Deringer and a member of its Projects and International Arbitration Groups for over twenty years.

Joseph is a leading expert in the structuring of infrastructure and energy projects. Joseph is the author of Understanding and Negotiating EPC and Turnkey Contracts, published by Sweet & Maxwell. He also has particular experience in disputes on construction, infrastructure and energy projects. In addition to advising and representing clients in a litigation context, Joseph frequently sits as arbitrator in international arbitrations.

Joseph also acts as the G G C of Nogaholding, the Bahrain oil and gas holding company. The group includes Bapco, the Bahraini NOC.

Joseph is a past member of the LCIA Court as the special delegate for the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre. He was the first Registrar of the Centre from February 2009 to February 2010. He also acted as Chairman of the Appeals Committee of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange.
