Ibi is a Partner in the Power and Infrastructure team of the Firm (widely regarded as Nigeria’s flagship power practice). She has amassed several years of cross-disciplinary experience advising on banking and financial regulation, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency, corporate and commercial law. Ibi has been integral to many of the Firm’s notable transactions in complex project financings, power and infrastructure project developments, power sector advisory, PPP’s, concessions, and corporate financings. 

  • Advised a private investor on a PP project with the Lagos State Government on the US$1.4billion development of a mixed-use real estate development of approximately 28.6 hectares.
  • Advised Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc. On its US$292.5 million acquisition of 100% stake in Afam Power Plc.
  • Advised the Concessionaire in connection with the concession of the USD 100million Asaba International Airport. Our role includes assisting the Sponsors with the drafting and negotiation of Concession Agreement with the Delta State Government.
  • Advised Konexa – Energy Company of the Future on the USD20billion long-term strategic investment in electricity distribution assets in Nigeria.
  • Advised Evercare Group, the largest healthcare fund on the development of two hospital projects in Lagos, Nigeria valued at USD600 million.
