BiographyGeorge Oraro SC is a well respected lawyer in Kenya with over 42 years of experience. He has advised both local and international clients in arbitration, complex litigation and mediation matters expertise as well as his consistent involvement in some of the prominent corporate & commercial transactions in the country.

• Advised the Kenyan Government on the financial and operational restructuring of Kenya Airways Plc, including converting USD 2.3 billion into equity. 
• Advising Art Caffe & Bakery Limited (the Company) and the shareholers in relation to the sale of the entire share capital of the Company to Emerging Capital Partners, a private equity fund established in the United States of America
• Acting for the National Bank of Kenya Limited (the Company) in relation to the take-over of 100% of the Company’s shares by KCB Group PLC – a financial services holding company .
• Lead advisor on the government-to-government collaboration between the Kenyan Government and China National Petroleum Corporation on a proposed USD 1.8 billion project to develop up to 350 MW of geothermal power.
