Prior to founding Kwok Yih & Chan, Conrad was a partner of an international firm in Hong Kong. He obtained his law degree in both Hong Kong and Beijing, and was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1994.

Conrad specialises in public takeovers, cross border M&As, private equity transactions, capital markets fund raisings (including IPOs) and transactions, corporate governance and regulatory investigation.

His client includes investment banks/financial institutions, corporates and public companies, private equity and hedge funds. Conrad’s experience over the last two decades has been across many sectors, such as financial/securities, Fintech, TMT, real estate, mining and energy, education, healthcare and gaming. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

  • Represented Dr Tinny Ho, a reputable dermatology specialist doctor in Hong Kong, in the disposal of her majority stake in her dermatology specialist clinic to UMP Medical Centre Limited for HKD 100 million
  • Advised China Huarong Energy Company Limited in its group restructuring, invovling disposal of liabilities, debt restructuring and issue of convertible preference shares
  • Advised AETOS Capital Group Pty Ltd, a licensed provider in Australia (which offers a trading platform of a wide range of financial derivative products, clearing and risk management services in a number of commodities and futures to both retail and institutional clients), in the transfer of a significant portion of its client portfolio to, and its co-operation arrangement with, Multibank FX International Corporation to provide services to these clients
  • Advised the Omron Group (a reputable international corporation specialising in industrial automation, healthcare and electrical equipment in the Hong Kong, the parent company of which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange), in the business restructuring of its offshore operations, involving extensive legal due diligence, advising on employment issues and business transfer and restructuring
  • Represented Alliance Capital Partners Limited (as sponsor) and the underwriters (Yuexiu Securities, Alliance Capital, Guosen Securities and SPDB International) in the IPO and listing of H-shares of Shanghai Realway Capital Assets Management Co., Ltd., the first Mainland private equity fund manager having its H-shares listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
