Streamsowers and Kӧhn is a full-service law firm located in Nigeria. Our team comprises of six (6) partners including a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) the equivalent to a King’s Counsel in the United Kingdom, an Of Counsel and 20 + associates. We have offices in Lagos, Abuja and Port – Harcourt cities in Nigeria.
Since the enactment of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 (FCCPA) in Nigeria in 2019, our lawyers have acted for and/or advised a diverse range of clients from different industries in all areas of competition law.
Some of our work in this respect include:
I. Advised an oil and gas industry group on the anti-competitive effect or otherwise of a technical standard proposed to be adopted;
II. Advised a licensed satellite telecommunications services provider on the procedural requirements for and substantive assessment involved in notifying a merger to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the communications regulator;
III. Successfully filed a merger notification to the FCCPC in respect of the global acquisition of an EduTech company and its Nigerian subsidiary. The merger is valued at US$450,000,000.00;
IV. Successfully filed a merger notification to the FCCPC in respect of the acquisition by the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), a fully owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), of an indirect stake of approximately 35.43% in Olam Agri Holdings Pte. Ltd. (Olam Agri, together with its controlled affiliates, the Target Undertaking) from Olam Holdings Pte. Ltd. (Olam Holdings), a wholly owned subsidiary of Olam Group Limited (Olam Group).
