Our firm resulted from the merger of two law firms, SAL Consultoria e Investimentos, Lda (1999) and JCA - José Caldeira Associados, Lda (2002). After the merger, the Company was called SAL & Caldeira Advogados e Consultores, Lda (2006). In 2010, due to Mozambique Bar Association requirements another company formed only by lawyers was incorporated and named SAL & Caldeira Advogados, Lda. We are organised into seven Practice Groups (“PG’s”) namely: Commercial, Regulatory & Public Institutions; Finance, Banking & Insurance; Immigration & NGOs; Labour; Litigation & Dispute Resolution; Projects, Energy & Infrastructure and Tax. Each PG has a Coordinator/Head of Practice, who normally is a Partner or a Manager. In each PG there are senior consultants, consultants, and junior consultants. We are supported by our administrative staff among whom we have sworn translators.

We are a medium-sized company with a total of 66 employees (including 2 interns), of whom 27 are lawyers admitted to the Bar
