Although the banking team was active across the board on loan transactions, its primary area of focus was acquisition finance where it worked typically on the borrower side on large mandates.
In equity capital markets the firm was visible on several listings on Nasdaq Stockholm’s main market and First North, in addition to engagements on share and rights issues. Note and bond issuances represented the bulk of the work for the firm’s debt capital markets team which acted for both issuers and arrangers alike. The firm was also active in the Swedish structured finance and securitisation market for varied clientele.
In M&A the firm acted on some of the market’s most impactful public offers, acquisitions, mergers and investments such as SBB’s public offer for Entra and Lone Star Funds’ divestment of Stark Group to CVC Capital Partners.
In projects work the firm continued to be mostly focused on renewable energy sector work, whilst demonstrating capabilities in supporting projects in other Swedish sectors.
The restructuring and insolvency team saw an uptick in activity in insolvency work, in-court reorganisations and out of court reorganisations and refinancings.
In personnel changes counsel Sofia Törnroth‑Nyberg and Mercedes Anderås Lennartsson departed the firm’s banking and restructuring and insolvency practice respectively. Counsel Daniel Prawitz was hired in projects.
