Established in 1930, Van Doorne is an independent domestic Dutch firm with a base in Amsterdam and an office in London. The firm consists of over 230 lawyers and legal professionals led by managing partner Sjoerd Kamerbeek.

The firm is well recognized for its presence in the Dutch market focusing on mid-market banking, project finance, M&A and restructuring and insolvency work.

Highlights

The firm advised as legal advisor to Vopak Ventures on its joint venture and debt and equity funding for the construction of a recycling facility located in the Port of Rotterdam. The firm led the equity and debt financing as well as leading the overall project counsel. The project is the first of its kind in project waste management.

In restructuring and insolvency, the firm advised Fuite Meat B.V. on the financial restructuring and acquisition of the Gosschalk Group through the relatively new Dutch Scheme (WHOA).
