During the research period, the firm was active in banking and finance, capital markets, M&A and private equity.

The firm’s banking and finance team continued to assist domestic banks, foreign banks and non-bank financial companies to standardise their lending documentation, draft and frame various policies under the applicable laws, and prepare, review and standardise the policy and process on lending and security documentation, as well as the due diligence process.

The capital markets team was busy handling IPOs, rights Issues, bonus Issues, preferential issues, QIPs, public acquisitions, listing of debt instruments, offshore listings, custodial services, foreign institutional investors, depository and the capital market. The firm works closely with investment bankers, merchant bankers, underwriters and corporate houses.

In the M&A area, the firm was very active advising both buy and sell sides in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. Active industry sectors including real estate, hospitality, food processing, media and entertainment, sports management, engineering goods and services.
