Highlights  

Rajai K W Dajani & Associates advised the Water Governance Activity (WGA) and USAID in a tender process for the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), benefiting Yarmouk Water Company (YWC). This project sought proposals from qualified companies to manage water and wastewater services in Irbid, Ajloun, Jerash, and Mafraq. Acting as lead counsel, the team verified health and safety compliance; ensured adherence to public procurement laws; reviewed the scope of work and deliverables; identified legal and financial risks; and assessed clauses related to subcontracting and third-party vendors. The transaction closed in September 2024 and led by Yousef S. Khalilieh and Arwa Al Azzeh.  

The firm also advised Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and the Social Security Corporation / Social Security Investment Fund (SSC) on the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish a 50/50 Omani-Jordanian joint venture company for investments totalling USD 100 million. The team, led by Yousef Khalilieh and Arwa Al Azzeh, provided legal support through the entire transaction, including advising on the legal framework for the joint venture as well as the review and negotiation of transaction documents. The transaction is currently ongoing.
