Highlights
Lakatos Köves & Partners advised AASET 2024-1 and AASET 2024-2 on the issuance of Secured Notes used for the purchase of a portfolio of a high number of aircraft. The team acted as joint transaction local counsel for the sale of certain aircraft and the local law aspects of the financing. This included local regulatory and transactional advice to investors regarding the registering, selling, leasing, and financing of aircraft on lease to Hungarian-based airlines and aircraft registered in Hungary. The transaction closed in November 2024.
The firm also advised Vodafone plc on the sale of Vodafone Magyarország Zrt. to 4iG Nyrt. and Corvinus Zrt., a Hungarian state holding company. Their role included full scope legal assistance to Vodafone as seller in the sale process, including the preparation of the company for the due diligence and slae process, assistance in different regulatory matters, and the drafting of transactional documents. The team was led by partner Iván Sólyom.
The team welcomed Péter Berethalmi from Nagy & Trócsányi to the Corporate and M&A team in January 2024.
