Highlights

In June of 2023, the firm’s project development energy practice closed the financing for Energix – Renewable Energies in connection with the clients six utility scale solar projects in Pennsylvania and Virginia. The financing included a substantial commitment from Morgan Stanley, and a match from Santander CIB via a construction loan and term loan facility. Partner Jai Khanna’s distinct expertise as tax equity counsel was integral to the execution of this first-of-its-kind transaction for Energix.

The firm’s renewable energy tax credit team also used the investment tax credit structure in its representation Churchill Stateside Group. This transaction was novel because it was the first time the ITC structure has been used for a utility-scale battery energy storage system.
