The firm provides legal assistance across all practice areas of corporate law, as well as in project development. It has a track record of working on cross-border transactions.

In banking and finance, it is experienced in working on the lender’s side as well as on the borrower’s side on various loan transactions such as credit facilities, acquisition finance and debt restructurings.

In capital markets it is particularly active on bonds and notes issues, advising bond holders, as well as issuers.

In corporate and M&A it advises shareholders, buyers and sellers on various share transactions, and also on mergers and acquisitions.

Its project development practice includes the working on the implementation of projects in various industries with a particular emphasis on social infrastructure.

In restructuring and insolvency, it has a strong track record in representing creditors, debtors and other financing parties in restructurings and insolvency proceedings.

Research period review: 33rd edition (2023/2024)    

During the research period the firm was active in all areas of corporate law and project development.

In banking and finance, it advised the borrower side and the lender side on direct financing and refinancing of direct financing, acquisition financing. Its project financing practice includes advising acquirers on mostly refinancing of concessions and projects in transport and predominantly in renewable energy.

In capital markets it was active in both debt capital markets and equity capital markets. On the debt side its practice consists of advising issuers on bond and notes issues and renewals, and mostly of bond debt restructurings. On the equity side it advised issuers and initial purchasers on IPOs and secondary share listings.

In corporate and M&A the firm advised acquirers and sellers on acquisitions in a broad range of industries, including technology and telecommunications, industrials and manufacturing, logistics, consumer goods and services, financial services, energy, healthcare and insurance.

In project development it advised mostly developers on projects in a various list of industries, ranging from food, construction and materials, tourism and energy to utilities and logistics.

In restructuring and insolvency, it advised mostly the borrowing side on debt restructuring, and all side of the table on insolvency proceedings. 

During the research period banking and finance counsel Antonio Ramirez joined the firm from Freshfields. M&A counsel Miguel Angel Melero joined the firm from Cuatrecasas.

Energy and regulatory partner Borja Carvajal joined the firm from KPMG along with counsel Pedro Soto. Parner Santiago Garrido de las Heras joined the firm, from Hogan Lovells.
