In restructuring and insolvency, the team advised on the high profile Nordic Waste scandal that brought about a significant landslide forcing the company into bankruptcy. This deal is one of the most significant environmental disasters and bankruptcy cases in recent years in Denmark with significant media attention and ramifications on environmental legislation.

Project highlights include the firm advising on the Feharn belt Fixed Link, envisioned to be the world’s longest underwater railway and road tunnel, that will connect Germany and Denmark. It is the largest project in Denmark and a highly ambitious infrastructure project, Bech Bruun is advising on all environmental matters related to the project in Denmark.

In banking and finance, a recent highlight of the firm’s work includes advising Novo Holdings in connection with the financing of the acquisition of the entire share capital of Ellab as well as the refinancing of the existing debt of Ellab. This deal plays an important role in the expansion of Novo Holdings business expansion in the pharma and biotech sector.
