Agmon & Co – Rosenberg Hacohen & Co has one of Israel’s leading oil and gas practices. This team advises on all elements of oil and gas exploration, development, distribution, and sales, and financing for projects and corporates working in the industry. Reserve-based lending is another transaction type in which the firm is experienced. In the capital markets area the firm’s practice is involved in innovative and unusual transactions – by Israeli market standards – rather than a high volume of deals.

In the banking area the firm’s recent deal highlights were mix of transactional and lending work. A few highlights were buy side roles on large loan portfolio acquisitions by two insurers and a large syndication acting for the lenders.

The firm’s recent capital markets deals were mostly issuer side roles on a mix of debt and equity deals. The highlights included the issuer roles for oil and gas clients, including on Tamar Petroleum’s IPO and related bond issues, and a debt issue by Navitas Petroleum.

M&A highlights for the firm included notable deals in oil and gas, including Avner and Delek Drilling’s merger where it advised the controlling shareholder of the partnerships

In the projects space the firm is working on the largest energy projects in Israel, advising the consortiums which own the rights to the Leviathan and Tamar gas fields on all the work related to projects’ development. Recent work related to the projects has included various negotiations for gas sale agreements. The firm is also working on a number of renewable energy projects.

The firm expanded its M&A practice significantly in the first quarter of 2018. Corporate boutique Arad & Co merged with the firm (giving it an additional two partners and three associates) and a three partner M&A and high-tech team was recruited from Lipa Meir & Co.

Noble Energy, Delek, Isramco, Tamar Petroleum, and Dor are among the firm’s key clients.
