The firm is best known for its strong M&A practice, for which it is one of the market’s leaders. In recent years the firm demonstrated its expertise in financing transactions.

The banking team is renowned for its acquisition financing work, and regularly represents borrowers and lenders on bilateral and syndicated term loans and revolving credit facilities.

The M&A team generally works on several of the largest cross-border deals in the market, with pharmaceutical and technology companies figuring prominently among its clients. This includes advising on buy and sell-side mandates for Scandinavian and international private equity houses.

The firm also has strengths in other financial and corporate areas including restructuring, where it often works for the creditors, and in capital markets, where it is especially strong on the equity side.

In the projects space the firm generally works on renewable energy and infrastructure matters.

Research period review: 32nd edition (2021/2022)

The firm’s banking team has maintained its consistently strong position in the acquisition financing space in Denmark. The firm was active in financial regulation, where it attained regulatory approval for large M&A deals, as well as in the investment funds area.

The firm was highly visible in the Danish equity capital markets space, where it assisted both Danish issuers and Danish and international investment banks. It also did work in debt on both the issuer and lender side.

In M&A the firm worked on several large cross-border transactions advising targets, buyers and sellers. It continued to maintain a strong position in the Danish private equity market, advising leading investors.

In project development the firm worked for both corporate clients mainly in the renewable energy space. The firm was also active in telecommunication and infrastructure sectors.

This research cycle has seen the firm’s restructuring and insolvency team work on both in-court and out-of-court restructuring proceedings, as well as in its capacity as trustee of large bankruptcy estates across Denmark.

Associate partners Jannie Schibler and Christina Balling Schmidt were added to the banking team. Partner Martin Allan Christensen joined the capital markets practice of the firm during the research cycle and associate partner Jacob-Nygaard left the firm.
