AF Mpanga assisted Coca-Cola Bottling Africa Proprietary Limited (CCBA) with the refinancing of the Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited (CCBU) facilities. The funding was advanced by way of a bilateral term and revolving facilities agreement, in an aggregate amount of US$ 86,490,000. The team acted as local counsel and was led by William Kasozi. The transaction closed in March 2025.
The firm also advised the Standard Bank of South Africa Limited in connection with SIFMA/ICMA Global Master Repurchase Agreement and the negotiated Terms and Conditions where the Bank of Uganda agreed to sell to the Standard Bank of South Africa Treasury Bills. The cross-border transaction closed in December 2024 and was led by partner William Kasozi.
