Overview:

  • German medical technology company Carl Zeiss Meditec raised around €317 million through a capital increase. 
  • The Frankfurt Stock Exchange listed company sold more than eight million new shares for €38.94 each to institutional investors through an accelerated book-building. 
  • The transaction increased the company's share capital by 10%.  
  • Proceeds from the secondary offering will be used the finance the businesses growth, including through acquisitions, the company said. 
  • Commerzbank and Berenberg underwrote the deal.
