Bluestar Elkem €456 million acquisition of REC Solar

Overview:

• Foundry industry materials producer Bluestar Elkem has completed its NKr2.1 billion acquisition of REC Solar.
• REC is the largest supplier of solar panels in all of Europe.
• The Norway-based Elkem is a division of the state-owned China National Chemical Corporation.
• DNB Bank provided Elkem with a NKr2.1 billion facility in relation to financing the deal.
