Overview:

  • Microsoft has made a $17 billion debt offering.
  • The massive issue consisted of $1.5 billion 1.85% notes due 2020, $1.75 billion 2.4% notes due 2022, $2.25 billion 2.875% notes due 2024, $4 billion 3.3% notes due 2027, $2.5 billion 4.1% notes due 2037, $3 billion 4.25% notes due 2047, and $2 billion 4.5% notes due 2057.
  • The offering comes about seven months after a $19.75 million one that Microsoft made in relation to its acquisition of LinkedIn.
  • The lead underwriters were HSBC, Barclays, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, US Bancorp, BNP Paribas, and BNY Mellon Capital Markets.
