Orascom's E£924 million acquisition of CI Capital

Overview:

• Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (through its subsidiary Beltone Financial Holding) acquired CI Capital for £E924 million from Commercial International Bank.
• CI Capital is a prominent investment bank in Egypt.
• Commercial International Bank is a private sector bank in Egypt.
• Orascom Telecom Holding is an Egyptian technology and telecommunications company.
• The deal has run into some trouble obtaining the required regulatory approval, and the deal is still awaiting closure.
