Winterfell 2 €200 million acquisition of a majority stake in EFACEC Power Solutions

Overview:

• Holding company Winterfell 2, owned by Africa's richest woman Isobel dos Santos, has acquired a 65% stake in Portuguese company EFACEC Power Solutions in a €200 million deal,  from major shareholders the José de Mello and Têxtil Manuel Gonçalves groups.
• EFACEC is a holding company in the energy solutions sector, and has subsidiaries and branches in over 20 countries.
• The acquisition makes Angolan company Empresa Nacional de Distribuição de Electricidade an indirect shareholder in EFACEC.
