Overview:

  • The Republic of Argentina has undertaken a $7 billion sovereign bond issue.
  • The issue consists of $3.25 billion 5.625% bonds due 2022 and $3.75 billion 6.875% bonds due 2027.
  • BBVA Securities, Citigroup Global Markets, Deutsche Bank Securities, HSBC Securities, JPMorgan Securities and Santander acted as joint bookrunners.
  • In April 2016, Argentina returned to the global capital markets with a $16.5 billion bond issue. This paved the way for more regular bond issues by the country.
