Overview:

  • Geodis, the land transport and logistics arm of SNCF, successfully acquired the OHH Acquisition Corporation, the parent company for Ozburn-Hessey Logistics from the private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, for a fee reported to be €800 million. 
  • The acquisition allows Geodis to significantly increase its logistics capacity in the US.
  • This was the largest acquisition by SNCF at the time.
