Overview:

  • Arkema, a global chemical company has acquired Dutch sealant and adhesives maker Den Braven for €485 million from private equity house Egeria.
  • The deal is an attempt by Arkema to expand its presence in the high performance materials market. Den Braven has eight production sites and employs over 1000 people.
  • Loyens & Loeff (Philip van Verschuer, Roel Fluit, Elvira de Jong) advised Arkema alongside Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira (Alejandro Payá, João Mattamouros) as Spain and Portugal counsel and Kinstellar (Nina Tsifudina) as CEE counsel.
