Overview:

  • ERG has acquired EON's Italian hydroelectric power plants for €950 million.
  • The acquisition comprises 16 hydro plants. The largest single site is the 527MW Terni Hydroelectric Complex, produces 1.4TW hours of electricity a year.
  • The deal was financed through a €700 million loan taken out from Banca IMI, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, ING, Intesa Sanpaolo, Natixis and UniCredit.
