  • Stonegate Pub Company has made a £3 billion bid for Ei Group.
  • Ei, formerly known as Enterprise Inns is the UK's biggest pub owner with over 4,000 sites. The company employs over 1,800 people.
  • Stonegate, which is backed by TDR Capital, owns brands such as Slug & Lettuce, Yates and Walkabout and has 765 sites in the UK.
  • Stonegate's bid values Ei shares at a 38% premium over the company's share price ahead of the bid.
  • The acquisition and final terms of the offer are dependent on competition clearance.
  • Deutsche Bank and Rothschild & Co advised Ei. Barclays, Goldman Sachs and Nomura advised Stonegate.
