Beiersdorf $550 million acquisition of Coppertone

Overview:

• German skin care products company Beiersdorf has acquired US sun care manufacturer Coppertone in a $550 million deal. 
• Coppertone was sold by German pharmaceutical company Bayer. 
• Credit Suisse and Perella Weinberg Partners acted as financial advisers for Beiersdorf and Sawaya Partners and Citi advised Bayer. 
• The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2019.
