Overview:

  • The Arab Republic of Egypt has issued a $4 billion Eurobond.
  • The issue consists of $750 million 6.2004% notes due 2024; $1.75 billion 7.6003% notes due 2029; and $1.5 billion 8.7002% notes due 2049. All tranches are issued under the country's $20 billion GMTN programme established in 2015.
  • The issue follows similar bond issues in June 2017 ($4 billion) and November 2016 ($4 billion).
