Overview:

  • A combination of TPG VI, TPG VII (TPG) and Manipal Health Enterprises have acquired Fortis Healthcare's hospital assets.
  • The deal will also see Manipal acquire a 51% stake in SRL, 20% from Fortis and 31% from other investors.
  • The deal makes the new company Manipal Health the largest healthcare operator in India in terms of number of beds with 11,000.
