  • First Great Western has undertaken a £360 million procurement of a fleet of Hitachi AT300 rolling stock units.
  • The fleet consists of 22 five car trains and seven nine car trains.
  • The fleet is schedules to enter service in 2018 and will run on the West of England line between London-Plymouth and Cornwall.
  • Eversholt Rail is acting as the leasor.
  • According to Burges Salmon the fleet is the first order to be privately financed by a rolling stock leasing company (ROSCO).
