Sampyo and KDB PEF $699 million acquisition of Tongyang Cement & Energy

Overview:

• Sampyo and KDB Sigma Private Equity Fund for Corporate Financial Stability II (KDB PEF) have acquired Tongyang Cement & Energy for W794 billion ($699 million) from Tongyang.
• Sampyo acquired 45.07% of the issued and outstanding shares of Tongyang Cement through Sampyo Cement and KDB PEF acquired 9.88% of the issued and outstanding shares of Tongyang Cement.
• Sampyo Group is a leading Korean manufacturer of construction materials.
