Overview:

  • Private equity houses Bain and Cinven have reached an agreement to takeover Stada for €5.3 billion including debt.
  • The offer for Stada, a German generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, equates to €66.25 per share. 
  • Earlier in 2017, Bain and Cinven failed in a first bid to takeover Stada after not securing the necessary approval threshold from shareholders.
