Overview:

  • Chinese ride-hailing company Didi Chuxing and Japan's SoftBank Group are investing $2 billion in the Singapore-based company Grab.
  • Grab operates private car, motorcycle, taxi and carpooling services across several South East Asian countries.
  • Didi Chuxing and SoftBank are both existing investors of Grab and claim that the $2 billion investment will be South East Asia's largest-ever single round of fundraising to date.
