Overview:

  • Zhongyuan Bank—the largest city commercial bank in China's Henan province—has undertaken a $1 billion global offering and listing of H-shares on the HKSE.
  • It was the second-largest IPO and listing on the HKSE in 2017 so far.
  • The bank intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to strengthen its capital base to support the ongoing growth of its business
  • The global offering consisted of a Rule 144A offering in the United States, a Regulation S offering outside the United States and a public offering and listing in Hong Kong.
