Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW)—a UK firm focused on aerospace, commodities and shipping—has formed an association in Indonesia with Rahayu & Partners, a domestic law firm based in Jakarta, on November 3 2017.

Rahayu & Partners was founded in 2005 and is known for its work in banking and finance, dispute resolution and litigation.

This new network is the latest in HFW's expansion after three associations in 2016 in the Middle East and a recent merger in the US with Texas law firm Legge Farrow Kimmitt McGrath & Brown.

Richard Crump, a senior partner at HFW said: "This [new association] cements our existing client relationships in Indonesia which we have in all our sectors and enables us to better serve our clients in offering local expertise whether in the context of Indonesian legal advice or in understanding the business environment and culture. This adds to our existing strong offering in South East Asia where we have been operating for more than 25 years."

HFW now has 104 partners and fee earners across Asia-Pacific in offices including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
