White & Case has expanded its banking practice in Singapore with the hire of a new partner.

Charles McConnell joins the firm as a local partner from Linklaters, where he acted as counsel.

White & Case's Asia banking and restructuring partner Baldwin Cheng commented: “Charles has received industry recognition for his ability to understand clients’ businesses and optimise capital solutions to meet the needs of each financing.”

With over a decade’s experience at Linklaters, McConnell’s expertise includes cross border financings and structured lending.

McConnell’s addition to White & Case’s Singapore banking team follows Alexander McMyn’s appointment from Hogan Lovells six months ago.
