PwC Legal has recruited two experienced partners from Stibbe for its growing Belgian branch.

Partners Ivan Peeters and Philip Van Steenwinkel have been hired from the Belgian branch of the Benelux firm, where they worked within the banking and finance team.

Peeters has significant experience on matters related to financial transactions and financial regulation, with a special focus on structured financing (securitisation, asset based financing), capital markets and legislation on financial instruments in general (structuring, trading, clearing & settlement).

Van Steenwinkel has extensive transactional experience on various forms of financing, mainly in the area of capital markets law, mobilisation of portfolios of loans and trade receivables, secured loans and derivatives.

The partners are joined by managing associate, Ysaline Mouthuy, who has more than five years experience in banking and capital markets work.

The arrival of the partners is in line with the office's ambitious growth, which has grown at a steady pace since its inception in 2013 into a team of 62 lawyers. Earlier in the year, the firm rebranded itself from the previous name of Law Square, and opened a new office in Antwerp.
