PRC firm DeHeng Law Offices has opened up a new office in Hong Kong and established a joint operation with local firm Chungs Lawyers.
The new office will focus on areas such as listing compliance, bond work, cross-border M&A, investment funds, bank financing and dispute resolution, providing domestic and overseas clients with legal services under PRC laws.
Li Zhong—DeHeng’s Beijing office managing partner—Bi Xiuli and Li Yan—two other Beijing partners—are the first lawyers to be assigned to the Hong Kong office. Four partners of Chungs Lawyers, including Ernest Chung, will provide Hong Kong legal advice.
DeHeng is experienced in assisting Chinese companies such as Sinotruk, Agricultural Bank of China and China Railway Construction on their Hong Kong IPOs, while Chungs Lawyers is experienced in handling restructuring and Hong Kong listing matters.
This development marks the opening of the 43rd global office for DeHeng, and represents the 33rd PRC law firm to enter Hong Kong’s legal market.

德恒北京办公室管理合伙人李忠、合伙人毕秀丽及李妍成为该所首批派驻香港办公室的三位律师。另外，包括钟永贤律师在内的4位钟氏律师事务所合伙人将为客户提供基于中国香港法的相关法律服务。
德恒曾协助中国重汽、中国农业银行、中国铁建等企业完成港股上市，而钟氏律师事务所此前亦协助企业完成重组或上市等相关业务。
截至目前，德恒已在全球范围内开设了43家办公室，该所是第33家进军香港法律市场的内地律师事务所。
