Clifford Chance has strengthened its regional restructuring and insolvency capabilities with the addition of a new partner in Singapore.

Shaun Langhorne joins the firm from Hogan Lovells where he served as a partner for five years.

Clifford Chance’s Singapore Managing Partner Kai-Niklas Schneider commented: “We are delighted to welcome Shaun as we're witnessing an increase in corporate distress and related activity across the region. His expertise further bolsters our capability as we continually strive to anticipate our clients' needs."

Langhorne is experienced in advising financial institutions, multinational corporations and insolvency practitioners on cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters throughout South East Asia. Prior to joining, Hogan Lovells, Langhorne worked at Herbert Smith Freehills and MinterEllison.

This appointment comes at a strategic time as worldwide economic activity has slowed down due to the pandemic and a spike in restructuring and insolvency activity is expected.
