CMS is set to split away from its existing partner firm in the Slovak Republic Ružička Csekes.

The firms will part ways on May 31 2017 with CMS set to launch a fully integrated office in Bratislava, as opposed to the alliance structure it currently has in place.

The new office is to be led by partner and IFLR1000 Leading Lawyer Peter Šimo and M&A counsel Petra Čorba Stark.

Ružička Csekes will go on to operate as an independent firm, although in a statement the firm did suggest it would look at partnership options with 'one or more' international firms.

The current combined operation has broad coverage across financial and corporate securing Tier 2 rankings for banking and finance and M&A in the most recent 2017 IFLR1000 results.

The firm is particularly well regarded for projects work in the energy and infrastructure areas.
