Yashley joined 5 St James Court in January 2011 upon being called to the Bar.
He had previously trained as a solicitor in the United Kingdom, where he worked on applications to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council from Mauritius.
Yashley's practice involves both litigation and advisory work. The different areas of the law he has worked upon include, amongst others, employment law, internet law, company law, insolvency law and procedure and civil law.
Yashley graduated from University College London in 2005 with a Degree in Computer Science and during his time in UK, he also studied Philosophy and logic. He then attended the College of Law, London where was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Law and an LL.B. He has completed the Legal Practice Course and trained as a solicitor in the UK, where he has worked on applications to the Privy Council from Mauritius. Yashley thereafter followed the Bar Vocational Course and, in 2009, was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn. He was called to the Mauritian Bar in 2011. Yashley regularly advises on a number of transactional matters involving the Global Business Sector and presently acts as junior legal advisor to a number of local banks, public bodies and parastatal bodies.
