Simone Del Nevo is a Partner at ASAR – Al Ruwayeh & Partners in Bahrain. He has over 20 years of international experience advising on banking, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Simone’s background includes working with leading international law firms in Europe and Japan, as well as serving as General Counsel for a major GCC bank. This gives him a clear understanding of both regulatory requirements and the commercial drivers that shape transactions in the region.

Simone plays a key role in ASAR’s banking and finance practice. His work spans both conventional and Islamic finance, and he regularly advises on complex, high-value transactions across multiple jurisdictions. Known for his practical, solutions-driven approach, Simone helps clients manage risk, navigate regulatory challenges, and structure deals with confidence.

Simone places a strong emphasis on client experience, delivering legal advice that is timely, clear, and directly aligned with commercial objectives. He works closely with clients to provide technically sound guidance that helps them move forward with certainty, making him a trusted advisor in Bahrain and throughout the GCC.

  • Simone acted as lead partner in ASAR’s representation of the buyer in a BHD 363 million acquisition executed via block trade on the Bahrain Bourse, involving 20.62% of a listed entity’s share capital. The transaction is the largest block trade in the exchange’s history and required innovative settlement structuring to address regulatory, procedural, and timing challenges under Bahrain law.
  • Simone acted as lead partner in ASAR’s role as sole deal counsel on a dual-currency syndicated Murabaha facility involving USD 266 million and BHD 150 million tranches. The transaction introduced a hybrid structure combining conventional and Sharia-compliant features, and included one of Bahrain’s first applications of non-cumulative compounded SOFR pricing.
  • Simone led ASAR’s representation of the acquirer in a USD 190 million cross-border acquisition of a Bahrain-based bank. The deal involved full ownership transfer of a CBB-regulated entity and required navigating complex regulatory, licensing, and competition considerations across Bahrain and Kuwait.
