Sait Eryılmaz heads the Finance practice of the Firm. He is specialised in banking and finance transactions, with a particular focus on project finance and structured finance.

Over the past years Sait has held a key position at the forefront of Turkish infrastructure and energy transactions, taking part in many notable projects including PPPs. He has been acting for banks, ECAs, Islamic and conventional financial institutions, sponsors and other transaction parties in domestic and international project financings, including PPPs, infrastructure, transportation (roads, railways and airports) energy projects, oil and gas, and privatisations.

Sait holds an extensive experience in finance including restructurings, syndicated financings, project financings, Islamic financings, securitisations and other structured financings along with representing issuers and underwriters in both debt and equity offerings including eurobond, sukuk and covered bond offerings in and outside Turkey.

  • the finance parties and ECAs including UKEF, Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Bank in relation to the UK's largest sustainable civil infrastructure export financing (€2.486 billion), provided to the Republic of Türkiye in the form of a green loan in connection with the Ankara-İzmir High-Speed Electric Railway Project
  • HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank and Emirates NBD as joint lead managers on the Republic of Türkiye’s issuance of US$2.5 billion and US$3 billion sukuk issuances. The latter was Republic of Türkiye’s largest single sukuk issuance to date
  • Fraport and TAV Airports on €1.225 billion bridge financing for the capacity expansion of Antalya Airport
  • the finance parties and ECAS in relation to the Mersin-Osmaniye-Adana Railway Project, on the UKEF and EKN facilities to the Republic of Türkiye acting through the Ministry of Treasury and Finance
  • the mandated lead arrangers in relation to the US$1.2 billion term loan refinancing for We Soda Limited, the largest natural soda ash producer in the world
  • Ziraat Bankası, Garanti BBVA, Yapı Kredi, and Türkiye İş Bankası in relation to the secured syndicated financing of the Aydın – Denizli Motorway PPP project (€770 million)
  • Bank ABC, Citigroup, Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD Capital, HSBC and KFH Capital as JLMs in connection with Kuveyt Türk's US$350 million Fixed Rate Resettable Sustainability Tier 2 Sukuk due 2031 (the world's first Sustainable Tier 2 Sukuk issuance)
  • the lenders to İçanadolu Doğalgaz Elektrik Üretim ve Ticaret A.Ş., a Turkish natural gas and electricity company, in relation to the group’s multijurisdictional debt restructuring
  • Türkiye İş Bankası, ICBC, Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası and Ziraat Bankası in respect of the financing of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Kütahya Integrated Health Campus under the PPP model
  • Uludag Energy Companies in connection with the financing of energy investments in the Southern Marmara Region of Turkey.
  • Türk Eximbank in connection with the restructuring of sovereign facilities made available to the Congolese State and the Republic of Djibouti under the World Bank's Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI).
