Reiko Yoshida

Reiko Yoshida is admitted in Japan and the first Japanese lawyer admitted in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.  She focuses on finance and shipping sectors, leading complicated multi-jurisdiction financing of high value vessels. She also advises on M&A, reorganizations of companies and succession of businesses engaging in shipping business.

• Advised a major Japanese bank on a ship finance transaction for an LNG project in respect of a newly-built LNG carrier for a joint venture
• Advised a major Japanese bank on a ship finance transaction for an LNG project in Canada in respect of a newly-built LNG carrier for a subsidiary of a shipping company
• Advised the shipowner on structuring and planning its succession of business and restructuring of its group companies in cooperation with an accountant and Marshall Islands legal counsel
• Represented a major Japanese bank and regional banks in a multiple-tranche bilateral loan transaction in respect of newly-built ethylene gas carriers owned by subsidiaries of a major Japanese shipowner
• Advised a major Japanese bank on structuring and planning restructuring of group companies of a major ship management company
