Porfirio's practice focuses on corporate, EU law, and employment related matters. Porfirio has wide experience in business reorganization, involving private and state-owned companies, and in litigation and arbitration, frequently in cross-border disputes. Porfírio is also a Visiting Lecturer at Universidade Católica of Angola and at Universidade Agostinho Neto (Angola) since 2016.

  • Advised a public agency against Novo Banco and BES on the reimbursement of commercial paper worth EUR 6 million;
  • Advised companies owned by the Autonomous Region of Madeira against BST on the validity of derivative agreements worth EUR 30 million;
  • Advised four public transport companies against Banco Santander Totta (BST) over the validity of several speculative derivatives agreements worth 1.8 billion;
