Peter Knobl

Peter has been a Partner at CERHA HEMPEL since 2005 and leads our banking, insurance supervision and capital markets regulatory practice. He trains bank managers and employees, supervisory board members of Austrian licenced and stock exchange operating companies on fitness and propriety issues. He advises Austrian licenced banks (Sis and LSIs), investment firms, insurances, corporate issuers, fund management companies and stock exchange operating companies on compliance and regulatory law queries and was involved in the establishment of the first bad bank in Austria.

• CERHA HEMPEL Austria and CERHA HEMPEL Hungary as well as K&L Gates Italy advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the sale of a 15% stake in Erste Bank Hungary Zrt to the Erste Group Bank AG
• Advice to the EU licenced investment firm CYRRUS, a.s. on establishing an Austrian representative office and the potential expansion of its business activities.
• Assisting Agri Europe Cyprus Ltd in submitting a voluntary public takeover offer for a block of 17 per Cent in Austrian listed Addiko Bank AG’s share capital.
